The Bay: A Blueprint for Recovery

The Bay: A Blueprint for Recovery is a free wellbeing service delivered in partnership with Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, and has been developed in collaboration with Lancashire Wildlife Trust, Cumbria Wildlife Trust, and the Eden Project.

The Bay's Nature and Wellbeing programme offers small-group sessions for adults, working on wellbeing and building confidence by connecting with nature. Over the session programme we work with individuals to support progress towards personal goals and help them to take their next steps. At Greenfingers, we'll be working on the allotment site as well as exploring the surrounding woodland and beach at Half Moon Bay. We've got an exciting programme lined up including food growing, wildlife gardening, beach surveys, natural art and bushcraft! The sessions are open to anyone who is looking to improve their mental health, meet like-minded people and learn about our local wildlife. If you'd like to give the sessions a try, or know someone who might benefit from them, please fill out a referral form here and we'll get in touch with you to talk more about your needs and answer any questions that you might have about joining the group.

Complementing our wellbeing sessions, we also offer a range of larger events in the community. The Bay's events programme includes outdoor activities such as nature walks and wildlife surveys as well as indoor activities at our Community Hub in the Arndale Shopping Centre.
